This Self-Care Retreat for Nurses* is designed to provide an opportunity for rest, reflection, exploration and renewal using “The Mandala Process” & the integrative therapies of:

  • Guided Imagery
  • Ceremony
  • Drumming and Song

*AHNA Standards of Holistic Nursing Practice 3.1: “Holistic nurses engage in self-care and further develop their own personal awareness as being an instrument of healing to better serve self and others.”
CEU’s: Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider No. 70 for 10 Contact Hours.**

Connecting Breath Meditation for Energetic Congruency, Setting Intention

Friday

7:30-8am Gentle Yoga or Walking the Labyrinth (Optional) ( or Sleep for Restoration:-)

9:30-11am Session #1: Self Care Practice:
"Settling Down, Settling In
--Conscious Breathing, Conscious Eating, Conscious Movement"
Focus on Mindfulness and Reconnecting to Our Authentic Selves;
Exercises/Practices Through: Sounds of The Breath/Chakras, Rhythms of Song,
Mindful Body Movement--Walking Meditation
Mindful Nourishment through Conscious Eating in Silence.

11am-12pm Session #2: OPENING THE SAND MANDALA-EXPRESSING COLLECTIVE WISDOM
Creating A Community Mandala For Peace As A Mindfulness Practice

12-2:30pm FREE TIME - (Lunch/Rest/Nature/Massage if scheduled)
2:30-4:30pm Session #3: Introduction to the Mandala
